Mummy Mars Bar Slices – Baking with Granny

Last Halloween I shared a recipe for Monster Rice Krispy Squares, which I’ve been making since my kids were just wee. This year, I again wanted to share something spooky and equally as tasty. After a bit of brainstorming, I came up with Mummy Mars Bar Slices.Taking inspiration from our much-loved Mars Bar Slice recipe, I used the same formula for the base, whilst adding a Halloween inspired spooky finish.Think of them as sweet Scottish treat to add to your spooky-season baking repertoire. You make them the same way you would any good Mars Bar Slice. Start by melting your Mars Bars & butter, before adding the rice crispies, to make that iconic crispy but chewy base.Unlike a traditional Mars Bar Cake, we then use white chocolate as the topping. And instead of spreading an even layer, you want to drizzle it on top to look like a Mummies bandages. The edible candy eyes are almost enough to bring these Mummies back from the grave. Alive or not, they are a sweet treat the whole family will love.
