I don’t think I’m crazy, but you never know. I wanted to tell you a little bit about what has been going on here and I thought we could do it and celebrate with a giveaway. There are going to be some photos below of me in the hospital and of Bouncer the Brain tumor that was removed back in March 2019. If you don’t want to see them you can scroll really fast to the bottom of this post. Enter for a chance to win one box of 10 randomly picked cookie cutters. Enter as many times as you’d like.

Five winners will be randomly chosen and announced here on Wednesday, October 18, 2023! That’s right. Five people will win 10 cookie cutters each! The boxes are packaged up and sitting on the table beside my door. Enter as many times as you want and come back on Wednesday to see if you are a winner. Good luck!

You might be wondering why I’m giving away cookie cutters and there is a simple answer to that question. I have made a mess! Just like my brain, I have a mess and I need your help to clean it up! I’ll give you more details in a minute, but for now, I need to get rid of some of the first cutters I made. Like my brain, they’re not perfect, but they will get the job done!
It’s a learning process.
I didn’t always know how to use a 3D printer and I didn’t know what size cutter, what dimension, or what PLA Color I wanted to use. So I made a lot of cutters trying to figure things out. Now I have to straighten up my mess, but I don’t want to hurt the cookie cutters. I know you all will give them a safe place to live. This is the first, but it won’t be the last of the giveaways and I thought sharing 50 cutters this week was a good place to start. What do you think?

I was planning on opening a cookie-cutter shop for a long time, but things kept happening.
Let me explain.
February is supposed to be the month of love and it’s when we share what’s in our hearts. That’s what I was doing this year until one February morning at about 2 a.m. when I woke up and couldn’t breathe! I woke up my poor husband Alan and told him he needed to call 911. He did and the ambulance arrived and took me to the hospital. At first, they couldn’t tell what was wrong with me so someone suggested they send me for a CT Scan.
Look at me. I was a mess!

After the scan, they knew what was happening. I had pneumonia. This pneumonia was not the nice kind. It cut off the oxygen to my heart which caused a heart attack. WOW! Not the kind of thing I wanted for my heart during the month of love. I was in the hospital for three days and the doctors and nurses made me much, much better. There was no permanent damage to my heart and it’s all fine now. Thank you, medical staff!
The pneumonia is gone and I have my strength back.
Now let’s talk about Bouncer from March 19, 1999, because he is still misbehaving.
He is gone, but not forgotten.

First of all, I want to thank you all for your kindness, support, love, and prayers. It is truly what carried me through the surgery and recovery. I love you all! I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you! You all are amazing! (Wiping tears and trying to keep typing.)
Remember Bouncer?

The first image is the MRI Scan of Bouncer. He was the size of a tennis ball and the amazing and incredibly talented doctor and medical staff removed it all. Look how dark the image is around my tumor. YIKES!
The second MRI Scan is what my brain is like now. It doesn’t have that nice space between the left and right side and it’s still kind of darkish. I’m not an expert, but that’s not normal, at least not yet.

After the surgery, I thought everything was fine and it pretty much has been until last month. I was decorating cookies for my stepmother and my right hand started twitching and moving like crazy. Then, my face started feeling really weird. My lips were moving without me doing anything. My dear husband Alan is a preacher and he was at our Wednesday night church service. Needless to say, I didn’t feel like going so I stayed home and tried to decorate the cookies.
When Alan got home and saw what was happening he said he would keep an eye on me and make sure I was alright. It continued through the night and we decided to go back to UT Hospital and get checked out. That is when we found out that the tumor caused brain damage and that was what was causing me to have seizures. I’ll have to take medicine for the rest of my life to help prevent them. I can’t drive for six months. I will go back to the doctor to see what is happening and hopefully, I will be able to drive after that.

Why am I telling you all of this?
I wanted to update you on why I’ve been a little MIA with my tutorials. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes and on the cutters. The trips to the ER and doctor appointments have kept us busy and slowed things down, but I’m feeling great. I do feel bad that Alan has to escort and drive me everywhere, but he is a great sport. I like hanging out with him. He’s really cute! 😉

He delivers the cookie-cutter packages to the post office every day and sometimes I ride along. I’m not telling you all of this so you’ll feel bad for me. It’s quite the opposite. I want to share my story and CELEBRATE LIFE! I could have died many times during this and I haven’t. God has a plan for me. I don’t know what it is, but I’m ready to do whatever it is when He lets me know. Life is crazy but it’s a good life!
I’m so proud to be a part of this cookie community. Everyone is full of love and so supportive. It’s an honor to have a blog where we can help each other in our cookie world and in real life. Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your journey! I can’t express how much that means to me.

Look at this mess!
Right now, I want to give away some cookie cutters. I hope it will make a few people happy. If you don’t win don’t give up because I’ll have more giveaways soon. The good thing about having a few 3D printers is you can help make people happy with cute little shapes they can make into cookies.
When you look at this image what do you see? I can’t wait to see what the winners will make. Leave a comment or ten below so you’ll be entered. Then come back on Wednesday to see if you won. Good luck my cookie friends and thank you for all your love and support!
Enter now!
Thank you all for entering and for your love and prayers! You all are the BEST!!!
Time to Announce the WINNERS! Check your email if you’re listed below. I need your address so I can send you the cutters!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Bear hugs!

posted by Lisa Snyder on October 16, 2023 It’s time for a cookie-cutter giveaway to celebrate my incredibly crazy life!
