My Poopah was told to eat a more low-cholesterol diet. So he didn\u2019t have to miss out when he comes over to my house on a Friday night \u2013 with his sticky blue bag of veg and his freshly baked challah bread, I made some Poopah friendly treats. <\/p>\n<p>Guess what he said<\/p>\n<p>As he sat drinking his hot chocolate (which I make with the Nespresso milk frother so it\u2019s most profesh! Chocolate sprinkles and all) I said \u201cI\u2019ve made these for you\u201d He said \u201cNo thanks\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>My mum just looked at him. I must have looked crestfallen. I\u2019d made them especially. But that\u2019s my dad. Just didn\u2019t fancy them. I suspect he would have preferred some butter laden treat that I would usually share like the buttery melt in your mouth lemon biscuits but they are not allowed. <\/p>\n<p>Of course all was not lost. As well as being a great low Cholesterol snack they are also Vegan so even easier to share \u2013 which I did\u2026 kind of. They are tasty after all! <\/p>\n<p>enjoy! <\/p>\n<p>Emma x<\/p>\n<p>\tLow Cholesterol biscuits recipe<\/p>\n<p>    Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>            INGREDIENTS &#13;<\/p>\n<p>            1 banana mashed &#13;<\/p>\n<p>            100g rolled oats &#13;<\/p>\n<p>            60g ground almonds &#13;<\/p>\n<p>            60ml milk (or milk alternative) &#13;<\/p>\n<p>            1 tsp Vanilla Extract &#13;<\/p>\n<p>            1 tsp cinnamon &#13;<\/p>\n<p>            Optional \u2013 1tsp Seeds \u2013 a mix of pumpkin, sunflower, seasame&#13;<\/p>\n<p>            Icing sugar for decoration <\/p>\n<p>        Instructions    <\/p>\n<p>\t\t            INSTRUCTIONS &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Line a baking tray with baking paper &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Preheat oven to 180\u2103 (160\u2103 fan oven) &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Place all the ingredients into a bowl and mix until combined. &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Take a tablespoon size scoop of the mixture and roll into a ball. &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Place on the baking sheet &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Flatten with the back of a fork &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Bake for 15-20 minutes. &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Remove from the oven and leave to cool &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            To make  icing sugar &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Mix two tablespoons of icing sugar with enough water to make a firm consistency. &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Place in a piping bag &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Pipe lines across each biscuit &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t            Leave to firm up. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a9\u00a02024 Copyright Cakes Bakes And Cookies<\/p>\n<p>Like this:Like Loading&#8230;<br \/>\n\t&#13;<br \/>\n    \t&#13;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#13; &#13; Jump to recipe I made these with a whole lotta love.
