\n\t\t\t\t\t\tYou guys, it\u2019s been SO LONG since I\u2019ve had the chance to blog, I almost forgot how to post tutorials on here! I\u2019ve been more focused\u00a0on the selling side of Melissa Joy these days, so\u00a0the \u201chow-to cookie\u201d stuff tends to fall\u00a0by the wayside. I\u2019ve added a gallery of my work to\u00a0the menu bar, organized by category, for those more interested in what I\u2019ve created recently. That is still a work in progress. I\u2019m better at baking than I am at this web\u00a0junk, but I\u2019ll get there!<\/p>\n
For today, I\u2019ve created a tiny tutorial on how to make my pretty\u00a0poinsettia wreath cookies! Hallelujah! And if you\u2019re a cookie decorator, brief and to the point during the month of December is a good thing. This tutorial is also for my own reference, because next year I\u2019ll need a\u00a0refresher on how to\u00a0create them\u00a0again for sure. #midlifebrain
\nHere is a\u00a0picture diary\u00a0on making Christmas poinsettia wreath cookies! Starting with a favorite cookie recipe and ivory colored royal icing\u2026<\/p>\n
I used that round\u00a0cookie cutter as a guide to draw the circles. I\u2019m ornery like that.<\/p>\n
I used a #2 tip to create\u00a0the poinsettias. Start with the tip at the center of the flower and drag it out. I have some fabulous, sparkly gold sprinkles I got from CookieCon for the middles, but yellow nonpareils would be great too.<\/p>\n
And done! These do take some time and patience to produce\u00a0(as most decorated cookies\u00a0do, right?!), but I love them so much. Definitely one of my faves this season!<\/p>\n
